One of the reasons we love Erie so much is the myriad of unique family-friendly events held annually. Here is a handy spring events roundup for 2019 so you don’t miss any of the fun!
Erie Farmer’s Market – Every Thursday Evening May 16-September 12
Located on Briggs Street between Moffat and Wells, the Farmer’s Market is open every Thursday from 5-8pm between May 16 and September 12, 2019. Here, you will be able to find organic and pesticide-free local produce as well as conventionally grown fruit from the orchards in Palisade. As a bonus, enjoy some live music while you shop!
Erie Town Fair and Balloon Festival – May 16-18
This event is a great way to celebrate spring in Erie. The town fair kicks off on Briggs with a craft fair and tons of food and drink options. Also, just a few blocks away in Coal Creek Park there are many entertainment options and carnival games. The Saturday events are capped off by live music, a balloon glow, and a fireworks display. For the early risers, the annual balloon launch will be at 6am on Sunday (weather permitting). Check out the Erie website for more event details.

Movie in the Park – June 15
The movie this month is Hotel Transylvania 3. The showing starts around dusk (8:30pm) in Erie Community Park. Make sure to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks!
Lunch in the Park – June 3
Lunch in the Park is a no-cost hot lunch and activities in Coal Creek Park provided by SVVSD Nutrition Services and Erie Uplink. This begins at 11:15am and runs until 12pm and is a great way to get out and socialize with others in the community!
Erie Brewfest – June 8
Come to Coal Creek Park (two blocks East of Briggs Street) from 12-4pm to sample some local brews. Pre-purchased tickets are $35 (https://coloradoboxoffice.com/events/erie-brew-fest-2019) and tickets at the event are $45. Your ticket includes an Erie Brewfest glass for sampling, and the event also features live music and food trucks.
Downtown Neighborhood Block Party – June 7 and 14
These block parties are planned to help engage community members and to highlight local businesses, restaurants, and breweries. There are always fun and creative activities, and our favorite part… the lot next to the Post Office is transformed into a bike parking lot to encourage families to ride into town.
