The results are in… (still in) Quarantine Classic is a wrap!
Every year, the ladies of Colorado Safari Properties like to do something to give back to the community. After missing horse show season and having limited barn opportunities amidst the pandemic, we decided to put on a virtual show, and thus the (still in) Quarantine Classic was born! Pulling together some of our various horsey contacts resulted in what we think was a pretty awesome event – a Big “R” hunter judge (Kris Nixon), an esteemed Grand Prix dressage competitor and judge (Sue Martin), and help with sponsorship from our locally owned tack store, Colorado Tack and Supply.
We had 84 competitors, 29 dressage tests from training to 3rd level, 169 hunter rounds from pile of poles to 2’9, 13 obstacle course participants, and a photo class. ALL of the entry and administrative fees from these classes went to Rocky Mountain Horse Rescue in the amount of $5,655.00!
See below for a short video of our check delivery, featuring local legend Bini Abbot, the founder of the rescue with a heart of gold. We are so proud to be involved in supporting such a wonderful rescue, and you, our horse community for participating and making this donation possible!
We had some great feedback from competitors – some that were using it as prep for the upcoming season, and some who were just dipping their toes into the world of showing, or trying a new discipline. We enjoyed it so much, we may do it all again so stay tuned! Scroll down to see a small gallery of some of our favorite photos from the show 🙂

Sweet Kiara brought many riders into the ribbons in this show – so she got her own blue ribbon and bag of thank you treats!
